DPIIT Partners with Tally Solutions & HDFC Bank to Empower Manufacturing Startups

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has partnered with Tally Solutions and HDFC Bank to mentor manufacturing startups.

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tally Solutions, a leading SaaS provider, and HDFC Bank to support and mentor manufacturing startups.

DPIIT stated that Tally Solutions will provide startups with training, case studies, and expert-led sessions to help optimize operations, adopt scalable business models and tackle challenges in financial management, compliance, marketing, and digitization. 

Participants will also receive free one-year rental licenses for Tally Prime software along with networking opportunities with industry experts and peers.

Highlighting the collaboration, DPIIT Joint Secretary Sanjiv Singh remarked that the initiative aims to equip startups with practical tools and insights to navigate market complexities.

Tally Solutions’ Managing Director Tejas Goenka emphasized the company’s dedication to empowering entrepreneurs with technology, tools, and knowledge to grow their businesses.

In a separate partnership HDFC Bank has committed to offering tailored banking and financial products for DPIIT backed startups. Sunali Rohra, Head of Startups and Gig Banking at HDFC Bank expressed excitement about the collaboration highlighting its potential to accelerate startup growth through access to specialized financial services.

These partnerships follow other recent initiatives by DPIIT to bolster the Indian startup ecosystem. Earlier collaborations include an MoU with flipkart to support emerging startups an alliance with Moglix to assist manufacturing startups, and a partnership with HCLSoftware for its manufacturing incubation efforts. 

Additionally, Kotak Mahindra Bank recently launched the Kotak BizLabs accelerator program, offering thematic workshops mentorship and seed funding for startups across various sectors.

These efforts collectively underscore DPIIT’s commitment to fostering innovation and strengthening India’s startup ecosystem.
