"Due to my increased professional commitments in my role as the Chief Executive Officer of Delhivery Limited, I find myself unable to dedicate the necessary time and attention required to fulfill my responsibilities as an Independent Director on your Board," Barua said in a letter sent to Swiggy Board.
Barua, Co-founder and CEO of Delhivery, was one of the first independent directors on Swiggy’s board. He supported the company through a key growth phase and its preparation for the public markets.
He continues to serve as a director at Delhivery, a leading logistics and supply chain company in India.
Swiggy’s current independent board members include Anand Kripalu, Shailesh Haribhakti, and Suparna Mitra.
Earlier this year, Swiggy’s company secretary and compliance officer, M Sridhar, also resigned after just one year with the company.
