Deepak Agarwal Joins LinkedIn As Chief AI Officer

LinkedIn, a online professional networking platform on Wednesday announced that Deepak Agarwal, a former employee and Pinterest executive, has been appointed as the new Chief AI Officer (CAIO).

Previously, Deepak was the VP of AI for 8 years, where his team helped build many of the company’s current AI features.

Before returning to LinkedIn, he worked at Pinterest as Chief AI Officer and VP of Consumer and Trust Engineering.

In his new role, Deepak will ensure that LinkedIn's AI innovations are groundbreaking and focus on inclusivity, human-centered design and empathy.

“I am thrilled to share that I’m joining LinkedIn as the company’s Chief AI Officer. This is my second stint leading AI at LinkedIn, with my last tour being VP of AI for 8 years where our team developed remarkable innovations at massive scale that serve as the foundation for much of the company’s AI efforts today,” Deepak posted on LinkedIn.

Last week, LinkedIn launched a new AI feature to help job seekers find the right job and recruiters find the right talent.
