Chhattisgarh CM Launches India’s First AI-Driven Data Park

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai laid the foundation stone for India’s first AI-based data centre park in Sector-22 of Nava Raipur on Saturday, according to a government press release.

The project, led by RackBank Datacenters Private Limited, will cover 5.5 hectares. It includes a 2.7-hectare Special Economic Zone and will focus entirely on AI services. The first phase will start with a 5 MW capacity, which could expand to 150 MW. The total investment is expected to be around ₹2,000 crore.

The data park is likely to create about 500 direct and 1,500 indirect jobs, with locals getting priority.

Apart from data storage, the center will offer cutting-edge services in artificial intelligence, health tech, defense, fintech, and data analytics. It will also have world-class GPU-based computing, AI processing, live streaming, and data analysis facilities—all under one roof.

"This is not only a data centre. It is the digital backbone for a new era of growth and empowerment,”CM  said.

The government said the centre will help farmers with better weather forecasts and crop planning, and provide education access to tribals in remote areas.
