Volt14 Secures $1.87 Mn In Pre-Series A Round

Volt14, a battery tech startup has raised $1.87 million in its pre-Series A funding round led by Blume Ventures. 

The round also saw participation from Next Ventures, Spectrum Impact, Supermorpheus, and returning investor Cocoon Capital.

The startup has now raised a total of $4.02 million, including this round.

Volt14 plans to use the fresh proceeds to scale up manufacturing and expand its team.

About Volt14 

Founded in 2019 by Animesh Kumar Jha, Volt14 is building silicon-based anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. It has also created its own cylindrical battery cell that shows higher energy density using its silicon anode.

The company says its technology boosts silicon content in anodes without affecting performance and is currently being tested by several battery makers.
