Digital payments enablement startup Cashfree Payments has appointed Piyush Anchliya as its new chief financial officer (CFO).
Anchliya will head the financial strategy at the payments company, improve operations and help drive its next phase of growth.
He will take over from Vikas Guru, who managed Cashfree's finance team for nearly four years. Anchliya will report to cofounder Akash Sinha, the company said in a statement.

“As we enter the next phase of growth, Piyush’s valuable experience across the financial services industry will be key to scaling sustainably and strengthening our financial foundation,” said Sinha.
"This is an exciting time to join Cashfree Payments as it continues to drive innovation in India’s fintech space. I am looking forward to advancing our strategic priorities, creating value for our stakeholders, and contributing to our mission of delivering the best in payments to businesses across the ecosystem,” Anchliya said in a statement.
Anchliya joins Cashfree Payments after working as the CFO at Bandhan Asset Management (earlier IDFC AMC). He has over 15 years of experience in financial services, with past roles at Barclays in New York and Lehman Brothers in London.
Cashfree recently got RBI approval to operate as a payment aggregator for both online and cross-border payments, and to issue mobile wallets or prepaid cards. The company also raised $53 million in funding, led by Krafton and Apis, and currently handles $80 billion in payments every year for over 800,000 businesses.
