Amit Bhardwaj Join Battery Smart as CFO

Battery Smart is a network for swapping batteries in electric two- and three-wheelers, has appointed Amit Bhardwaj as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Bhardwaj has strong experience in financial strategy, risk management, and business growth. His appointment is an important step for Battery Smart as it grows in the electric mobility industry.

Before joining Battery Smart, he worked as Vice President and Group Finance Controller at Shiprocket.

Battery Smart offers advanced lithium-ion batteries for electric two- and three-wheelers, which can be swapped quickly at its stations. Its battery-as-a-service (BaaS) model helps customers avoid high upfront costs.

Earlier this year, in June, Battery Smart raised $65 million in its Series B funding round, led by LeapFrog Investments and others.

The company reported a 195% increase in revenue, reaching Rs 164.6 crore in FY24, up from Rs 55.9 crore the previous year.

Battery Smart has also formed a strategic partnership with the quick commerce platform Zepto to deploy 1,000 electric vehicles by 2025. This partnership will allow Zepto’s delivery partners to use Battery Smart’s swapping network to quickly charge their electric vehicles.
