Amazon has started testing its quick commerce service, Amazon Now, in Bengaluru as competition grows.
Previously rumored to be called Tez, the service aims to meet the rising demand for fast deliveries, especially in cities.
The report says Amazon's quick commerce service, earlier called 'Tez' internally, is partnering with beauty, home, and kitchen brands to expand its operations.

"Amazon has always focused on offering customers a wide selection with convenient and fast delivery. We are always innovating to offer even more value to customers, and this limited pilot in select pin codes of Bengaluru is a trial to offer even faster speeds on a selection of everyday essentials from our sellers that customers often need quickly,” stated an Amazon spokesperson.
Amazon Fresh delivers groceries in two hours, but Amazon Now promises 10-minute delivery, marking Amazon's entry into quick commerce. Reports say Amazon is also working with logistics partners for faster deliveries.
This comes as quick commerce companies expand into smaller cities and open more dark stores to stay ahead of growing competition.
Before Amazon, Flipkart launched Flipkart Minutes last August to stay competitive as quick commerce grew beyond groceries. Tata Digital has also introduced Neu Flash, powered by BigBasket, for fast deliveries.
