Bharti Airtel has teamed up with quick delivery platform Blinkit to deliver SIM cards to customers in just 10 minutes. This is the first time a telecom company in India is offering such a fast doorstep delivery service.
The service is currently available in 16 cities and will expand to more locations soon. Customers can get a prepaid or postpaid SIM, or even port their existing number to Airtel, by paying a small delivery fee of ₹49.
Once the SIM is delivered, it can be activated quickly through a simple Aadhaar-based KYC process. An online video and link will guide users through the activation.
Cities where the service is currently live include Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, and more.
