With the goal of inspiring young school students to pursue entrepreneurial endeavours, Startup Odisha Yatra and Startup Xpress, two of the organization’s flagship initiatives, have been running successfully throughout various districts of Odisha.
In just 18 days of travel, they have gathered more than 2,350 ideas from 22,158 participants from 162 colleges and 59 schools across 27 districts.

An all-time high of ideas from students are anticipated as the initiative nears its conclusion, and there is a good chance that they will surpass all previous records and establish new benchmarks. The initiative’s dream run represents the student community’s desire to become a community development driver by pursuing their passion for entrepreneurship.
Odisha Startup Yatra and Startup Xpress are essential to achieving the state’s goal of identifying and supporting 5000 startups by 2025. It serves as a springboard for college and high school students to generate original ideas, raising the bar for creative thinking.

Many suggestions are coming in from the student community as the Yatra expands to more districts. This incredible achievement in idea generation is proof of the Yatra’s primary goal, which is to foster an entrepreneurial spirit in young people.
The purpose of Startup Xpress 2023 and Startup Odisha Yatra is to support local entrepreneurs and creative minds. Startup Odisha will have four vans specifically for the Yatra in 2023, covering all 30 districts in the state.
The past Startup Odisha Yatra covered 30 districts, 30 Bootcamps, 114 Van camps, 100+ colleges, 1350 ideas, and 10,270 students. 22 top ideas were selected for the acceleration programme, culminating in a demo day where 11 finalists received INR 1 lakh each.
