Lydia Jett, a former managing partner of SoftBank, has been reinstated as an independent director on Flipkart's board.

Since 2017, Lydia Jett has served as the representative of SoftBank's Vision Fund on Flipkart's board. Nevertheless, she resigned from the company's board in February 2024 after resigning from the managing partner position at SoftBank Investment Advisers.

Lydia Jett will be the most recent member of Flipkart's board, which also includes senior Walmart executives, HDFC chief executive Keki Mistry, and Flipkart group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy.

The development occurs in the context of a senior management reshuffle and mass reductions at Flipkart, as the company transitions its focus to profitability.

Binny Bansal, the co-founder of Flipkart, resigned from the company's board earlier this year as a result of a conflict of interest between his new B2B venture, OppDoor, and Flipkart.

About Flipkart
