Rajasthan, the land of royals, is all set to showcase its technological and entrepreneurial prowess with the upcoming Rajasthan IT Day 2023. Hosted by the Department of Information Technology & Communication, Government of Rajasthan, this three-day event from March 19-21, 2023 will be a celebration of youth and entrepreneurship and a journey towards embracing the latest technologies.
The event will be held in the beautiful city of Jaipur, known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture. Rajasthan IT Day 2023 promises to be a melting pot of ideas, innovation, and creativity, bringing together young entrepreneurs, established businesses, investors, and policymakers on a single platform.
With a theme centered around technology and entrepreneurship, the event will feature several key activities, including Carnival & Run, Hackathon, Mega Job Fair, IT Expo, Startup Expo, Startup Bazaar, Extending Funding to Startups, technology showcases, interactive sessions, startup pitches, networking events, and more. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their innovative ideas, learn from industry experts, and connect with like-minded individuals and organizations.
Rajasthan IT Day 2023 aims to provide a platform for young entrepreneurs to unleash their potential and explore new business opportunities. By promoting technology and entrepreneurship, the event will help create a more vibrant and dynamic startup ecosystem in Rajasthan, driving economic growth and creating job opportunities for the youth.
The event will be addressed by Hon’ble Chief Minister and is expected to witness 50K attendees, including, various dignitaries, industry bodies, startup CEO’s & founders, celebrities, and other startup ecosystem enablers from across the country.
The Rajasthan IT Day 2023 is comprised of several significant events and activities:
Rajasthan Carnival & Run 2023, which is an evening run that celebrates the state’s world-class IT ecosystem and, most importantly, Rajasthan IT Day 2023. The route takes runners from the Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK) to the University Commerce College, Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg, Jaipur, and back, with the starting and finishing points being the JKK and University Commerce College, respectively.
Another key component of Rajasthan IT Day is the Hackathon, where coders, developers, and designers are given a platform to showcase their coding skills in a 24-hour non-stop coding competition. The Hackathon covers themes spread across sectors and industries, allowing participants to use their cutting-edge techniques and inventive methods.
The Department of Information Technology & Communication (DoIT&C) is organizing a Mega Job Fair at Commerce College, Jaipur, on 20-21st March 2023, with the goal of providing better future opportunities to students who are pursuing higher or technical education in the state. Over 400 companies with bulk vacancies in various areas, including Information Technology, Consulting, Automobiles, Call Centers, Finance, Manufacturing, and many more, are expected to participate in the fair.
The IT Expo pavilion will cover various e-governance initiatives undertaken by the government of Rajasthan to provide services to the masses, showcasing various technologies and applications that have directly or indirectly benefited the rural and urban populations.
Round-table conferences will involve various stakeholders of the startup and youth ecosystems, with various industry bodies and startup ecosystem enablers invited to host and participate in both closed-door and open-platform discussions. The speakers invited for these conferences, power talks, fireside chats, panel discussions, and various knowledge sessions from across the country will provide first-hand feedback to the government and create linkages for the startups and other key stakeholders of the ecosystem.

The Startup Expo will be the largest exhibition of products and services by the startups of the state at one common platform, with 100+ iStart recognized startups and startups representing various universities and ATL’s expected to showcase their offerings. This will give them direct market access and facilitate their interactions/pitch before the governmental officials for possible procurement purposes.
Startup Bazaar, the festival’s startup market, will feature 80+ physical product-based startups selling to SHGs and rural startups.
Extending Funding to Startups – The Rajasthan Startup Policy 2022 will provide funding to various innovative iStart registered startups, with the Evaluation Committee meeting organized during the Rajasthan IT Day. Additionally, a series of multiple investors pitching rounds have been planned in association with renowned angel investors and venture capitalists’ firms.
Drama, documentaries, shorts, and television series are just some of the genres that will be represented at the iStart Youth Film Festival, alongside international features by renowned, award-winning directors.
