Reliance's Campa Gets Rs 200 crore IPL 2025 Co-Presenting Rights

Reliance Consumer Products' Campa Cola has secured the co-presenting rights for the upcoming IPL season in a ₹200 crore deal, challenging global brands like Coca-Cola in India’s beverage market.

Last season, Coca-Cola’s Thums Up held the same sponsorship rights for the same amount.

Reliance will use the IPL to promote its sports drink, Spinner, and energy drink, RasKik Gluco Energy, both priced at ₹10. Spinner, co-created with Muttiah Muralitharan, has also partnered with five IPL teams—Lucknow Super Giants, SunRisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans, and Mumbai Indians.

“The co-presenting / co-powered property is a plum slot,” one of the executives said. "This is the first summer where all cola companies will compete nationally, as till last year, Campa was still restricted to select markets. The brand acquiring such a large national property shows its intent to scale up rapidly pan-India," he added.

Meanwhile, Coca-Cola will continue sponsoring Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders while expanding its presence. It will also strengthen its partnership with Domino’s, following Jubilant FoodWorks' 40% stake purchase in Coca-Cola’s bottling arm, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, in December.

Media buying executives expect ad revenue from TV and OTT platforms for IPL 2025 to rise by 8-10% from last year, reaching around ₹4,500 crore.  

Soft drink sales peak during the summer months (March-July), making up over half of the annual total. This year’s IPL, which first season in 2008, will run from March 21 to May 25.
