The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has launched a new mobile app, 'RBIDATA', to make economic and financial data about India easily accessible.
The app provides over 11,000 data series with features like charts, direct downloads, and easy-to-use visuals.
RBI says it is designed to help researchers, students, and the public stay informed about key trends like inflation and GDP.
The app's 'Banking Outlet' section helps users find banks within 20 km of their location. It also provides data on SAARC countries through the 'SAARC Finance' section.

RBIDATA gives quick access to the Database on Indian Economy (DBIE) at https://data.rbi.org.in. Users can view charts, compare data over time, and download it for analysis.
The app shows data sources, measurement units, update frequency, and recent changes, with notes to help users understand the information. A "Popular Reports" section highlights frequently viewed economic reports for quick access.
