He encouraged the engineers and workers to keep contributing to the growth of India’s electronics sector.
Last month, the Union Cabinet approved a new PLI scheme for non-semiconductor electronics components, with a budget of Rs 22,919 crore.
The goal is to attract Rs 59,350 crore in investments, boost production worth Rs 4,56,500 crore and create 91,600 direct jobs along with many more indirect ones.
The scheme covers components like display modules, camera sub-assemblies, PCB assemblies, lithium cell enclosures, resistors, capacitors, ferrites and more.
