Indian IT major Infosys has entered into a strategic collaboration with US-based Mastercard to strengthen cross-border money movement for financial institutions worldwide. The partnership will integrate Mastercard Move — Mastercard’s portfolio of domestic and international payment capabilities — with Infosys Finacle, part of EdgeVerve Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Infosys.

This integration aims to drastically cut down the implementation time and resourcing typically required for financial institutions to access cross-border payment solutions, creating a faster and more efficient pathway for seamless global transactions.

Mastercard Move enables banks, non-bank financial institutions, and direct disbursers to offer secure, real-time money transfers across more than 200 countries and in 150+ currencies, reaching over 95% of the world’s banked population.

Highlighting the significance of the partnership, Pratik Khowala, EVP and Global Head of Transfer Solutions, Mastercard, said:
“Through Mastercard Move’s cutting-edge solutions, we empower individuals and organisations to move money quickly and securely across borders. The collaboration with Infosys makes it easier for financial institutions to adopt these capabilities, allowing them to deliver reliable cross-border payments while enhancing control of risk, operations, costs and liquidity.”

Anouska Ladds, Executive Vice President, Commercial & New Payment Flows, Asia Pacific, Mastercard, noted the growing demand for cross-border transactions:
“Global remittances continue to grow, especially across Asia, which accounted for nearly half of global inflows in 2024. With Infosys as a collaborator, we’re expanding access to Mastercard Move’s benefits for a wider range of users.”

From Infosys’ perspective, the collaboration aligns with the company’s focus on advancing digital banking experiences. Dennis Gada, EVP and Global Head of Banking and Financial Services, Infosys, said:
“Payments are the most frequent customer touchpoint for banks, and seamless experiences build long-term loyalty. Our partnership with Mastercard enables near real-time, cross-border payments, significantly improving customer experiences.”

Adding to this, Sajit Vijayakumar, CEO of Infosys Finacle, emphasized:
“This engagement combines Finacle’s composable banking platform with Mastercard’s global money movement capabilities, empowering banks to deliver fast, secure cross-border services across all customer segments.”
