Mathew Cyriac, founder and executive chairman of alternative asset manager Florintree Advisors, has invested $2 million to sports technology firm MyySports.

Mathew Cyriac, founder and executive chairman of alternative asset manager Florintree Advisors, has invested $2 million in sports technology firm MyySports.

Cyriac, who has served on the startup’s board already, will become a co-founder of the New Delhi-based company, as per reported by VCCircle.

Saurav Banerjee, who had been a partner at Kalaari Capital, started MyySports in 2021. The sportstech firm offers creator tools so that fans of sports can produce, share, and sell their material.

“India is at the cusp of a digital revolution with 1 billion smartphones in the hands of the people. MyySports enables capturing and socializing the sporting journey of sports enthusiasts. With its offering, MyySports captures the large sports community on its digital platform,” said Cyriac, who is also a former Blackstone executive.

A game company called Hashstash, now known as MyHashstash, was previously bought by the startup.

“I am happy to have Mathew as a co-founder. He is a prolific investor with an unbeatable track record and has over five investments in the Sports sector. MyySports will gain immensely from his vast experience,” Saurav Banerjee, Founder, MyySports, said.
