Mela Ventures, a well-known venture capital firm, has named R Kalyan Sundar as its new Head of Finance and Legal.
Sundar possesses extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, and transaction negotiation, which he will apply in his new position.
R Kalyan Sundar, in his role at Mela Ventures, will be responsible for spearheading strategic finance and investment endeavors, with a specific focus on fostering and expanding innovative entrepreneurs in diverse industries. He has the knowledge and skills to improve financial methods that are important for helping new entrepreneurs and their businesses.

Before joining Mela Ventures, R Kalyan Sundar held the position of Assistant Vice President of Finance at Stakeboat Capital, where he was responsible for conducting financial assessments in various industries like SaaS, Healthcare, and IT/ITeS. During his tenure with Ernst and Young, he successfully oversaw multiple financial due diligence projects on a global scale. He provided expert guidance on strategic deals and fundraising efforts. He possesses a Chartered Accountant certification and a diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Sundar’s appointment highlights Mela Ventures’ dedication to upholding strong governance and promoting growth in the startup ecosystem.
