[Funding News] Lenskart Secures $20 Mn Funding led by Peyush and Neha Bansal

Lenskart, a store specialising in eyewear, has secured an investment of around $20 million from its co-founders Peyush Bansal, Neha Bansal, Amit Choudhary, and Sumeet Kapahi.

The co-founders of Lenskart have made their second investment in the company within the past seven months.

Lenskart's board has approved a special resolution to issue 695,875 CCPS at an issue price of Rs 2,300 each, with the aim of raising Rs 160 crore or $19.12 million.

Piyush Bansal spearheaded the funding round with a contribution of Rs 70.70 crore, while Neha Bansal invested Rs 70.39 crore. Amit Choudhary and Sumeet Kapahi contributed amounts of Rs 9.60 crore and Rs 9.35 crore, respectively.

Lenskart asserts that it possesses over 2,500 outlets, with around 2,000 of them located in India. India contributes to around 60% of the company's revenue, while the remaining income is derived from its worldwide operations in places like Singapore, Dubai, the US, and Southeast Asia.
