KKR Acquires Stake in Baby Memorial Hospital

KKR and Baby Memorial Hospital said today that they had signed final agreements that will allow KKR-managed funds to take over the Indian multi-specialty hospital group.

The money will help BMH build a network of hospitals in India using both natural and artificial growth strategies. This will improve the standard and accessibility of its healthcare services in India.

BMH is a chain of hospitals in Kerala that provides a wide range of medical and surgical services in 40 different departments. These departments include heart, oncology, neurology, gastroenterology, pediatrics, and orthopedics.

BMH has put money into good facilities and has a number of accreditations all over its network. It has 1,000 beds in Calicut and Kannur.

KKR is a global investment company that has been around since 2008 and offers solutions for insurance, capital markets, and alternative asset management.
