Pankaj Jathar is the new chief executive officer of skills and talent development firm NIIT.
Sapnesh Lalla steps down and is replaced by Jathar. Lalla will become a non-executive director at NIIT Ltd and continue to be CEO of NIIT Learning Systems, which was split off from NIIT last year.
Jathar has been in charge of global companies for more than 25 years, working in areas like e-commerce, consulting, technology solutions, the training industry, business development, and government.

He started at NIIT as a management trainee and then worked for four years at Tata Interactive Systems in London. After that, he became a solution engineer at Accenture and worked there for five years, creating IT solutions for the banking and finance industry.
He was also on the team that launched Amazon India and was in charge of the FMCG business at Cloudtail. In 2020, Amazon and Catamaran formed Prione, and he was named CEO of that company.
Through its many companies, NIIT provides a wide range of learning and talent development programs in futuristic areas to millions of individuals and businesses.
