Venture capital company General Catalyst led a $2.75 million seed investment round for the aerospace and defence manufacturing company JEH Aerospace.
Participating in the round were Dwarakanath Srinivasan, the former managing director of Airbus India, and Pratyush Kumar, the former president of Boeing India, as reported by ET.
“We were able to close a few customers without having anything on ground brd on the credibility and value proposition that we are delivering. We will be opening up a brand new facility for manufacturing soon,” said cofounder and CEO Vishal Sanghavi.
The capital will be used to construct infrastructure, spur expansion, and assemble a strong team to revolutionise the logistics experience for consumers.
“Their strategic focus on addressing the critical challenges faced by Tier-2 and 3 aerospace suppliers in the US through leveraging India’s dynamic labour pool and manufacturing strengths in the India-US corridor we think is commendable. We believe their early traction is an indication that they are on the right track. General Catalyst is excited to be part of the Jeh Aerospace journey,” Anand Chandrasekaran, partner, General Catalyst, said.
