Truecaller Appoints Rishit Jhunjhunwala as its CEO

Rishit Jhunjhunwala, the current Chief Product Officer and Managing Director of India for Truecaller, has been named Group CEO of Truecaller by the board of directors, effective January 9, 2025.

CEO Alan Mamedi and Chief Strategy Officer Nami Zarringhalam made the announcement at today's board meeting that they would be leaving their current operational positions to concentrate on their board responsibilities and serving as Truecaller's strategic advisors in the long run. To ensure a smooth transfer, Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam will remain consultants to the company until June 30, 2025, following January 9th.

Truecaller India's Managing Director since 2021 is Rishit Jhunjhulwala, Head of Product since 2015. Swedish citizen Rishit Jhunjhunwala was raised in India. He lived and worked in Sweden from 2015–2022. He oversees Truecaller's product teams and advertising and Truecaller for Business income streams.

Recently Truecaller, the dominant worldwide communications platform, has partnered with HDFC ERGO, the foremost general insurance company in India.

Recently Truecaller is announce a partnership in India with Tanla Platforms Limited. Truecaller Business Messaging will be powered by Tanla’s Wisely platform.
