Edtech Startup Bhanzu Secures $16.5 Mn Funding From Epiq Capital

Edtech startup Bhanzu has secured $16.5 Mn (Rs 139 Cr) in a series B funding round led by Epiq Capital. Z3Partners and longtime investors Lightspeed Ventures and Eight Roads also participated in the financing.

The funding will be used by the startup to increase its footprint in the United States.

“The US maths education market has significant potential, but it is dominated by large, billion-dollar companies that have not innovated their curricula or effectively embraced technology. This gap creates a significant opportunity for Bhanzu to revolutionise maths education in the US,” Neelakantha Bhanu, co-founder and CEO of Bhanzu, said. 

According to the company, it has generated positive cash flow, a great product-market match across all of its markets, and eight times growth since its last fundraising round.

In 2022, venture capital firm Eight Roads Ventures led a $15 million (Rs 119.76 crore) Series A round of funding for the Hyderabad-based math-learning platform. B Capital and existing investor Lightspeed also participated in the round.
