Let’s look at how

Soumyadeep Mukherjee encountered numerous challenges during the early stages of his entrepreneurial journey. Soumyadeep was from a middle-class family and needed money. That’s why, at the age of 18, he started working in the corporate sector for Rs 3,500. Furthermore, he worked hard and got a well-paying corporate job. But he quit his job.

Now Somyadeep wanted to do something on his own, and that’s why he left his job. However, he had no business plan. However, he continued to search for business ideas. During that time, he noticed that every Indian enjoys spicy food, and the only brands available are papad and pickles, not chutneys. This observation sparked an idea in his mind.

He thought, Why not start selling chutneys? But arranging capital was a challenge. Nevertheless, with his family’s support, he sold a house to raise the necessary funds for his startup.

Finally, in 2019, he launched his startup, Spice Story. This Mumbai-based Spice Story sells sauces, condiments, and chutneys. Then, he worked hard and sold 90,000 units for Rs. 85 lakhs in the 1st year of launch. But, after one year of Spice Story, the startup again went down.

Somyadeep says, “As an entrepreneur, the biggest thing that I feel is that because of one entrepreneur, 100 more families survive. I think that this is an opportunity to do something for society.” If you get the opportunity to do something for society, then what will you do?
