Eka Care, a startup that aims to digitize the health records of patients, has raised $15 million in Series A funding round from Hummingbird Ventures.

Other investors including 3one4Capital, Mirae Assets, Verlinvest, Aditya Birla Ventures, Binny Bansal, Rohit MA, also participated in this round.

The startup plans to use the funds for product development, hiring, educating consumers about the benefits of maintaining a health profile, and helping doctors move to a digital practice.

The Bengaluru-based Eka care was founded in December 2020 by Vikalp Sahni and Deepak Tuli, It is helping Indians to build their health profile for better health outcomes and savings in health care expenses. For doctors, it has also created an advanced digital clinic management tool.

“Our clinic management tool is compliant with both NMC and NDHM guidelines, it helps reduce time in writing prescriptions, compliance, improving the online presence and overall income of the doctors. Our doctors are leading the digitization wave in the country, and I invite every doctor in the country to join this mission,” said, Deepak Tuli, Co-founder and COO, Eka Care.

Vikalp Sahni, Founder and CEO, Eka care said that the startup seeks to create a technology backbone to create and manage a health profile for every Indian.

In January 2021, Eka care had raised $4.5 million in its seed funding round from angel and early-stage investors, as well as early stage venture capital funds.
