Gut health-focused start-up The Good Bug (TGB) has raised Rs 100 crore (about $12 million) in a Series B funding round led by Susquehanna Asia Venture Capital, the VC arm of Susquehanna International Group.
Existing investor Fireside Ventures also participated in this round.
The startup plans to use the fresh funds to grow its research and development, boost marketing and distribution, and hire people for research, tech and business roles.

“Their holistic approach, rooted in gut microbiome science, emphasizes the importance of digestive wellness as the foundation for overall well-being – a vision that resonates deeply with the growing awareness of its role in preventing many health issues,” Susquehanna’s investment advisor Bhavani Rana said.
“The main deployment of these funds will be towards accelerating innovation in microbiome science and bacterial research.” We’ll continue investing in clinical trials, brand building, and hiring top-tier talent across research, science, and business,” said Keshav Biyani, co-founder of The Good Bug.

Founded in 2022 by Keshav Biyani and Prabhu Karthikeyan, The Good Bug (TGB) makes a variety of health products, including synbiotics, probiotics, prebiotics, detox items and fermented drinks like kombucha and kefir.
These products aim to help with digestion, weight issues and women's health by focusing on gut and microbiome science.
TGB says it has over one million customers in India. It recently launched a new weight management product called the “Advanced Metabolic System,” which uses natural ingredients to boost GLP-1 levels and lower gut inflammation.
