Sony Innovation Fund invests in Stan as part of Series A round

The company plans to use the new funds to build AI-based personalisation, improve tools for creators to earn money, strengthen partnerships with game publishers, and expand into more mobile-first markets.

Sony Innovation Fund invests in Stan as part of Series A round

Mobile-first social gaming platform STAN said that Sony Innovation Fund—the venture capital arm of Sony Group known for investing in entertainment, gaming, and tech—has joined its ongoing Series A round. 

The round was also participated in by Hyderabad Angels Fund (HAF VC).

Sony Innovation Fund and Hyderabad Angels Fund have invested an additional $2 million (₹17.7 crore) in STAN. With this, the company has raised a total of $10.5 million in its Series A round so far.

The company plans to use the new funds to build AI-based personalisation, improve tools for creators to earn money, strengthen partnerships with game publishers, and expand into more mobile-first markets.
