“Social media today rewards attention not connection,” said Anurag Rangineni, founder and CEO of Culture.“We are building Culture to solve that. The future of social networking lies in meaningful conversations built around shared interests  not follower counts or endless scrolling. Culture is designed to help people feel heard not performed. “Trust is the biggest deficit in today’s digital communities,” Rangineni added.

Acuvest Infra highlighted Culture’s differentiated approach to building sustainable digital communities. “Users are increasingly moving away from noisy, performative platforms toward smaller, safer and more meaningful communities,” said a spokesperson from Acuvest Infra.

“Culture’s focus on explicit interests, verified users, and community-driven engagement positions it well for the next phase of social networking.”

Founded by Anurag Rangineni, Hyderabad-based Culture helps users discover and connect with each other using AI-based interest matching, making it easy to start conversations around shared interests like music, startups, travel, wellness, and creativity.

The platform focuses strongly on user safety and accountability through real profiles, phone verification and AI-powered moderation that automatically ends interactions involving nudity, harassment or unwanted behaviour.

The startup plans to launch creator-led Spaces, where creators and community leaders can host live discussions, events, and both online and offline experiences. These Spaces will support ticketed events, targeted promotion, and partnerships with physical venues such as cafes, clubs and cultural hubs.

Culture is growing through college activations, partnerships with cafes and breweries, creator collaborations, and organic community building. It plans to expand across major Indian cities first, then move into global markets. Its future plans to include premium subscriptions, creator monetisation tools and interest-based native advertising.

The goal is to build a global platform where real human connections come first and digital spaces feel more like conversations than endless feeds.
