Robotics startup Miko raises $10.5 million from iHeartMedia

Mumbai-based robotics startup Miko has raised $10.5 million (₹93.5 crore) from iHeartMedia, a US-based audio media company.

The startup plans to use the funds to support business operations and general corporate purposes.

“Our partnership with iHeart marks a pivotal moment in Miko’s mission to make AI companions part of everyday family life,” said Sneh Vaswani, its cofounder and CEO.

“iHeart reaches 9 out of 10 Americans every month, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to help make Miko a household name across North America,” said David Ellis, Executive Vice President of Ventures at iHeartMedia. “Miko is an AI-native robotics with proprietary technology and IP that has the potential to reshape sectors from education and entertainment to mobility and connected living”

About Miko

Founded in January 2015 by IIT Bombay alumni Chintan Raikar, Prashant Iyengar and Sneh Vaswani, Miko is an AI-powered robotics platform that uses generative content, advanced sensors, and long-term memory to make interactions safe, adaptive, and emotionally engaging.

Miko.ai follows a hybrid model, selling AI-powered robots like Miko Mini and Miko 3. In addition to the funding, Miko and iHeartMedia have partnered to integrate iHeart’s audio content into Miko’s devices.

Miko says it serves customers in more than 140 countries, including the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
