Quick Fashion Startup ZILO Raises $4.5 Million Seed Round to Expand Beyond Mumbai

Fashion-tech startup ZILO has raised $4.5 million in a seed funding round led by Info Edge Ventures and Chiratae Ventures, as it gears up to scale operations and redefine how India shops for fashion.

The fresh capital will be used to fine-tune ZILO’s product-market fit, expand its hybrid supply chain, strengthen brand collaborations, and grow beyond Mumbai into other top Indian cities in the coming months.

Founded by Padmakumar Pal, former VP at flipkart and myntra, and Bhavik Jhaveri, a serial entrepreneur, ZILO is building India’s first fast-fashion delivery platform with an Amazon-style speed promise. The company partners with over 250 popular brands like Levi’s, Puma, United Colors of Benetton, and The Souled Store to offer customers delivery in under 60 minutes, along with a try-at-home and instant return feature.

Unlike traditional e-commerce players, ZILO relies on a mix of dark stores and branded outlets to fulfil orders locally, ensuring quicker turnaround and fresher, in-season styles. The company currently offers thousands of styles and plans to scale to 100,000 SKUs, with footwear and accessories on the roadmap ahead of India’s festive season.

ZILO’s rapid commerce model arrives as competition heats up. Earlier this year, rival fashion delivery startup Slikk secured $10 million in funding, while Myntra has been rolling out its own express delivery service for fashion across more cities since its launch in December 2024.

With its bold promise of speed, convenience, and curated fashion, ZILO is aiming to redefine the online fashion experience for India's Gen Z and millennial shoppers.
