Point AI raises $5.3 million in round led by Yali Capital

E-commerce service startup Point AI (formerly Try ND Buy) has raised $5.3 million in a round led by Yali Capital.

The round also saw participation from Lip-Bu Tan, CEO of Intel Corporation and chairman of Walden Catalyst and Tremis Capital.

The funds will be used to improve Point AI’s products, attract more customers, and strengthen its engineering and core operations.

Founded in 2018 by Nitin Vats, the Bengaluru-based Point AI offers AI solutions for e-commerce marketplaces, covering both backend and frontend needs. For sellers, it provides tools like image and video generation and an AI assistant. For buyers, it offers features such as a virtual assistant and virtual try-on experiences.

“We have clients from 12 countries currently. Through this funding, we want to expand our presence further, refine the products we have already developed, and invest in research to stay ahead in the market,” said Vats. 

Point AI’s clients include flipkart, myntra, Japan’s Rakuten, and several D2C brands. The company has raised about $10 million to date and plans to expand its client base in India and abroad over the next 12 months.

Headquartered in Bengaluru with offices in Noida and Shanghai, Point AI has around 130 employees. With the new funding, the company also plans to grow its team, said Vats.
