Plenome Technologies raises Rs 6.5 Cr in seed round

Plenome Technologies, an IIT Madras-incubated deep-tech startup has raised Rs 6.5 crore in seed round from a mix of Indian and foreign investors, including lead investor Ovington Capital Partners (Luxembourg), UAE-based AADI and angel investor Manish Gandhi. 

The startup plans to use the funds to support its expansion into global markets with its patented Blockchain-AI stack tailored for sectors like healthcare, organ donation and remote voting.

“Plenome builds next-gen Blockchain-AI solutions for sensitive sectors such as healthcare and e-governance. Its flagship healthcare product, BlockTrack OrganEase which manages organ donation databases, is currently undergoing trial deployment in partnership with a leading transplant authority in South India. The company’s BlockVote platform, already used in IIT Madras student elections, offers remote voting capabilities with a pay-per-use model, aimed at large institutions and enterprises,” a release from the IIT Madras Institute read.

“Our mission is to decentralize critical digital infrastructure for real-world impact,” said Prof. Rajagopal. IIT Madras Incubation Cell CEO Tamaswati Ghosh lauded Plenome’s progress in highly competitive domains. The company is also building what may become the world’s first distributed AI protocol—combining blockchain and artificial intelligence to redefine data security and insight generation.

Its ‘BlockTrack OrganEase’ is being trialed with a state transplant authority, and its remote voting tool ‘BlockVote’ has already been used at IIT Madras and is now being pitched for enterprise-scale elections.

The startup is also piloting ‘Ashwin’—an AI-based healthtech tool that captures structured, multilingual data in dental clinics, with plans to expand into eye care, cosmetic and fertility health.

Using a DLT-powered backend and an AI-driven interface, Plenome aims to streamline data creation, management and diagnostics—while keeping privacy and user control at the core.
