Nothing Before Coffee Raises $2.3 Mn In Pre-Series A Round

QSR coffee chain Nothing Before Coffee (NBC) has secured $2.3 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Prath Ventures, along with participation from SYL Investments.

The funds will be used to open over 150 new stores across India by FY26, improve the brand’s digital platforms, upgrade its supply chain, hire new talent and test new store formats.

“There’s a significant gap in society between five-star coffee chains and roadside coffee vendors. Young people are increasingly looking for high-quality coffee in a pleasant environment at affordable prices. That’s the gap we’ve been working to fill since day one,” cofounder Ankesh Jain said.

Piyush Goenka, founder of Prath Ventures, said, “As a fund, we’ve long believed in the growing demand for coffee and vibrant café experiences across India — not just in metros, but well beyond tier I cities. In all our research, NBC consistently stood out for the vibrance in their cafés, the affordability of their pricing, and the quality of their offerings.”
