Neha Dhupia Backed BlackCarrot Secures Seed Funding

BlackCarrot, a D2C dinnerware brand, has raised an undisclosed amount in its seed funding round, led by We Founder Circle, with support from EvolveX accelerator and Suraj Nalin, co-founder of PlaySimple Games.

BlackCarrot, a D2C dinnerware brand, has raised an undisclosed amount in its seed funding round, led by We Founder Circle, with support from EvolveX accelerator and Suraj Nalin, co-founder of PlaySimple Games.

BlackCarrot's co-founder, Yadupati Gupta, said the company has completed the first part of its seed funding and expects to close the remaining round in the next three months.

Purpose of fund raising

The company plans to use the new capital for product development and to expand its presence on various marketplaces.

The investment comes after Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia and Taproot Dentsu co-founder Agnello Dias acquired a stake in the startup.

Along with her investment, Dhupia has joined as the brand ambassador to help promote the startup.

Yadupati Gupta(Ex J.P. Morgan and Avendus Investment Banker) and Vishal Gupta(Ex Marketing & Sales Head Wipro Consumer Care and VIP Luggage Group Company), Co-Founders of BlackCarrot said, “This investment will fuel our growth across all channels, including our website, marketplaces, and quick commerce platforms.”

BlackCarrot, founded in 2024 by father-son duo Yadupati and Vishal Gupta, is a government-recognized startup offering dinnerware products like stoneware, glassware, and stainless-steel cutlery, with over 90 SKUs.

The brand provides healthier alternatives to traditional options, including Bone China-free crockery, 304 food-grade stainless steel cutlery, and lead-free glasses.

It competes with brands like Nestasia, pepperfry, and legacy names such as Borosil and IKEA. Along with its online presence, BlackCarrot has also entered offline retail, launching in Nature’s Basket stores.

The startup is currently available on major e-commerce platforms like Tata CliQ Luxury, myntra, Amazon, and Ajio.
