Haryana Aims to Become India’s Startup Hub, Says CM Saini

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini met with startup entrepreneurs on Saturday and stated that the government is dedicated to making the state a startup hub.

CM Saini said, “The government is making concerted efforts to position Haryana as a key player in the national startup ecosystem, in line with the goals of the Make in India and Startup India initiatives. The initiative is designed to boost economic growth and generate employment opportunities for the youth, positioning Haryana as a distinguished hub of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country.”

The Chief Minister stated that the number of startups in Haryana should triple. He encouraged entrepreneurs to commit to supporting the growth of new startups to help achieve this goal. This teamwork will speed up the development of the state's startup ecosystem. 

He also mentioned that the state government is planning new schemes in the 2025-26 budget to support startups, offering guidance and funding to help young people start their own businesses.

The Chief Minister said that startups can play a big role in boosting traditional industries.

The Chief Minister said that, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to make India a developed nation by 2047, the government's focus is to make Haryana a developed state. The state government is already offering various incentives through policies to boost industrial growth.

He also mentioned that for the 2025-26 state budget, the Haryana government is seeking input from citizens, business owners, and other stakeholders through meetings, to ensure the budget benefits everyone and promotes inclusive development. 

He invited startup entrepreneurs to share their ideas, promising to include them in the budget and create new schemes based on the suggestions to increase the number of startups in Haryana.

In recent years, the Indian startup ecosystem has grown beyond traditional business centers like Bengaluru, Delhi NCR and Mumbai, with tier II and III cities becoming new hubs for entrepreneurship and innovation.
