Previously known as Nymble, Posha raised seed funding in 2019 from WaterBridge Ventures, Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal and 021 Capital.
Gupta said the product was made to solve a growing issue in city homes—people don’t have enough time to cook fresh meals.
“In developed countries like the US, people try to be self-reliant, and the cost of services like food delivery or hiring a personal chef is super high—it’s not as affordable as it is in India,” he explained.
“Posha is tackling a persistent problem in modern households: how to get a healthy, home-cooked meal on the table when time is short,” said Pratik Agarwal, Partner at Accel. “Their AI-driven approach is practical, well-designed, and represents one of the first tangible examples of AI directly addressing a genuine human need in a meaningful way.”
About Posha
Founded in 2016 by Rohin Malhotra and Raghav Gupta, Posha's kitchen robot automates cooking with AI sensors that monitor food in real time. After ingredients are added, it handles the full cooking process and learns user preferences for more personalized meals.
The robot is currently available for pre-order at $1,500. There’s also an optional $14.99 monthly plan for extra recipes and advanced customization.
