Health food brand The Whole Truth raises $51 million funding led by Sofina, Sauce.vc

Clean-label health food brand The Whole Truth has raised about $51 million in a funding round led by Sofina and Sauce.vc. 

The funding round included both primary and secondary capital. Existing investors like Peak XV Partners, Rainmatter Health, and Ayra Ventures also took part. The company’s early investors include Z47, which was earlier known as Matrix Partners.

The startup said this funding is the first step toward launching its IPO, with becoming profitable as the next major goal. The new funds will be used to grow its in-house manufacturing, improve day-to-day cash operations, and develop systems needed to prepare for entering the public market.

Founded in 2019 by former Unilever marketer Shashank Mehta, the Mumbai-based The Whole Truth sells products like protein bars, peanut butter, dark chocolates, energy bars, immunity balls, and muesli. 

It also offers subscription plans. The company says about 80–85% of its sales come from its website, while the rest come through partnerships.

Since its Series C funding in January 2025, the company says it has grown three times in size and built a strong presence in major product categories, supported by its own research, development, and manufacturing. It has also created a community of more than 400,000 followers.
