Mumbai-based gaming company Dream Sports has invested $50 million (about ₹427 crore) in Cricbuzz and Willow TV, two cricket platforms owned by Times Internet. Cricbuzz is a popular cricket website, and Willow TV is a major cricket broadcaster in North America.
With this investment, Dream Sports will take a small but strategic stake in Cricbuzz and Willow TV. Together, these platforms reach 185 million users every month in over 150 countries.
Dream Sports’ investment in Cricbuzz and Willow TV will help improve fan experiences, the statement said. The companies plan to work together to offer real-time stats and analysis, more ways for fans to interact and shop, and AI-based match predictions for Cricbuzz users.

“Cricbuzz and Willow sit at the heart of how hundreds of millions of fans follow cricket everyday,” Times Internet vice chairman Satyan Gajwani said. “We’re excited to work with Dream Sports to reimagine and develop new ways to collaboratively create new experiences for cricket fans across the planet.”
Dream Sports cofounder and CEO Harsh Jain said, “Dream Sports’ mission is to ‘Make Sports Better’ for Indian sports fans. Cricbuzz and dream11 have worked together for over a decade, and with this investment, all cricket fans can expect much more fan engagement, interactive streams, and integrated commerce experiences that will bring them closer to the action and to each other.”
In March 2023, Willow TV got the rights to show International Cricket Council (ICC) events in the US and Canada until the end of 2027, continuing a partnership that started in 2016.
As the biggest cricket broadcaster in North America, Willow TV streams over 1,500 live matches every year to viewers in the US and Canada. It has also grown into a top cricket broadcast platform in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
