About Zebu

Established in 2021 by Santosh Balajee Banisetty, Zebu is a defense-tech startup that creates counter-drone systems for armed forces worldwide. The company has developed four products for the Indian military, including a drone to neutralize enemy drones for the Air Force, a rescue drone for the Coast Guard, an offensive combat drone for the Air Force, and a tethered surveillance drone for Army border patrols.

Zebu is developing an Anti-Drone Swarm System for the Air Force, which will use rapid-fire launchers and be ready by late 2025. The system is designed to overwhelm enemy drones with coordinated attacks. The Army’s Tethered Surveillance Drone, known as the "Eye in the Sky," could be widely deployed by mid-2025, providing continuous border monitoring and is already approved by several regiments.

In addition to being government-backed, Zebu is moving into commercial markets by adapting its military technology for business use. The company says its proprietary Ground Control Station (GCS) is generating significant interest from private companies in India, US and Southeast Asia.
