Defence tech startup Armory raises Rs 13 crore funding led by GrowX Ventures

Defence-tech startup Armory has secured Rs 13 crore in a funding round led by early-stage investor GrowX Ventures.

The round also saw participation from Industrial 47, Antler, AC Ventures, Dexter Ventures and several angel investors.

The company said it will use the new funds to boost R&D, increase manufacturing and roll out its products faster.

“It’s increasingly obvious that the future of warfare is autonomous drones and electronic warfare. The only way to deter them is to build advanced countermeasures. Foundation of India’s self-reliant defence is being built right now, and we aim to play a leading role in it,” said Amardeep Singh, Founder and CEO of Armory.

“India’s national security priorities are rapidly evolving, and Armory is one of the few startups addressing these changes at the pace of software,” Manish Gupta, general partner of GrowX Ventures. “Their focus on building mission-critical, AI-led defence systems from the ground up, which is fully indigenous, modular, and field-proven, represents the kind of vision we believe India’s defence-tech ecosystem needs.”

About Armory

Founded in 2024 by Amardeep Singh, the Gurgaon-based Armory builds homegrown systems to detect, track and take down rogue drones — a rising threat with the spread of autonomous weapons and electronic warfare.

Its main product, SURGE, has already been tested by several Indian Army regiments.

These systems run on Samaritan OS, the company’s own AI-powered defence software that learns and adapts in real time — something older systems couldn’t do.
