“Spinning out from IIT Kharagpur’s Microelectronics and MEMS Lab has been fundamental to our scientific foundation. Our MAP platform reflects India’s ability to lead in affordable, scalable vaccine delivery that serves both national and global public health goals,” said  Jhimli Manna, CEO of Innovodigm.

About Innovodigm

Co-founded in 2020 by Jhimli Manna and  Ayan Chatterjee, Innovodigm is developing micro-array patches (MAP) for vaccines—an innovative alternative to traditional injections. These patches use thermostabilized vaccines that stay effective for up to 120 days at 40°C, removing the need for cold storage and helping reach remote and underserved areas. They also reduce medical waste and eliminate risks like needle-stick injuries.

The startup's MAP technology was recently recognized as one of the Top 2 Technologies at the Nano Electronics Showcase 2025 by the Ministry of Electronics & IT. Innovodigm has also signed an agreement with a top Indian vaccine maker for third-party validation, with clinical trials set to begin next year.

Innovodigm plans to expand across India and other low- and middle-income countries, aiming to adapt its micro-array patch for vaccines like measles, hepatitis, flu, and COVID-19 boosters.

To boost access and reduce delays, the company is also setting up local manufacturing hubs so the patches can be produced closer to the communities that need them the most.
