DCDC Kidney Care Gets Rs 150 Cr Investment From ABC Impact

DCDC Health Services Pvt. Ltd. (DCDC) which runs dialysis centers under the DCDC Kidney Care brand, has raised Rs 150 crore ($17.4 million) from ABC Impact, a Singapore-based asian impact investor supported by Temasek.

The funds will be used to expand the business with plans to open 150 new clinics and increase access to affordable dialysis services as part of the Ayushman Bharat Yojna initiative.

DCDC founder and CEO Aseem Garg said the company plans to expand its services to countries outside of India.  

Sugandhi Matta, Chief Impact Officer at ABC Impact, mentioned that with the rising number of kidney disease cases in India, improving access to quality dialysis is essential for both healthcare and the economy.

DCDC provides nearly 100,000 dialysis sessions each month, mainly for economically disadvantaged people in India.

It is estimated that over 1.5 million people in india suffer from end-stage renal disease and need dialysis three times a week. However, many face challenges due to high treatment costs, limited facilities, and inconsistent care.
