CtrlB raises $2.5 million seed funding from Chiratae Ventures

Unified data platform CtrlB has raised $2.5 million in a seed funding round led by Chiratae Ventures.

The round also saw participation from Equirus, InnovateX Fund, Campus Fund, and Point One Capital. 

The startup will use the funding to grow its diskless data lake platform and expand in India and the US. It also plans to speed up engineering and R&D, file patents for its indexing and compression technology, and work toward getting SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certifications.

"I always wanted to build something that helps developers resolve production issues faster because that’s when they lose the most productivity. Every minute a system is down costs companies millions of pounds," founder and CEO Adarsh Srivastava said.

About CtrlB 

Founded in 2023 by Adarsh Srivastava, CtrlB brings together logs, metrics, traces, and security events into one observability platform built on cloud object storage. It uses one-click data ingestion, fast indexing, and compression to cut storage costs and keep more telemetry data.

The company plans to add over 50 enterprise customers in the next 18 months across sectors like logistics, fintech, ecommerce, and SaaS. It also aims to enter related areas such as APM and log analytics.

CtrlB is working on a major platform upgrade that will include a new interface, updated dashboards, and a correlation engine, along with stronger cloud partnerships. Its overall goal is to reduce observability costs while improving search speed and data ingestion for engineering and security teams.
