The Bengaluru-based BrainSight AI, a deep-tech neuroscience startup has raised $5 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by IAN Alpha Fund.
The round also saw participation from IvyCap Ventures, Silver Needle, and its existing investors.
Purpose of fund raising
The company plans to use the new funds to expand into Tier I and Tier II cities in India, explore markets in Africa and Southeast Asia, and enter the U.S. with FDA certification. Part of the funds will also go toward research and development to create new solutions for patients and caregivers.

BrainSight had previously raised $925K in a funding round led by Pfizer and others.

BrainSight AI, founded in 2019 by Laina Emmanuel and Rimjhim Agrawal, uses AI and neuroscience to improve the diagnosis and treatment of brain disorders. Its main products are Voxelbox, an fMRI processing tool powered by machine learning, and Snowdrop, a patient-care app that helps patients follow their treatment plans.
The startup currently works with over 40 hospitals in India, supporting neurosurgery and radiology, especially for brain tumor cases.
