Venture capital firm A91 Partners has closed its third fund at $665 million to continue backing growth-stage businesses and supporting founders
Earlier, it was reported that the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group, was considering investing $35 million, with an additional $30 million as a possible co-investment.
A91 had originally aimed to raise $675 million for this fund. IFC supports private sector growth in developing countries.

“Today we are pleased to announce the closing of $665M A91 Fund III. We are incredibly grateful to both our investors and the founders that have partnered with us and continue to inspire and educate us,” the company said in a LinkedIn post.
“We started A91 in 2018 with the following beliefs—patient capital will play an important role in accelerating value creation in Indian businesses across sectors. We also believed in the opportunity to create a world-class Indian investment firm—for founders who are aiming to build large enduring businesses from India. All these beliefs have been strengthened over the last six years,” the post added.

Founded in 2018 by Gautam Mago, Abhay Pandey, Kaushik Anand and VT Bharadwaj, A91 Partners was started to support Indian entrepreneurs building long-term businesses.
It invests in sectors like consumer goods, healthcare, financial services, and technology.
The firm said it wants to stay a long-term partner to both founders and investors as it grows in India's private equity space.
A91 has also invested in areas like coffee, spices, and home appliances, supporting brands like Atomberg and leading a $30 million Series B round in Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters.
Its portfolio includes Digit Insurance, Inshorts, Sugar Cosmetics, Exotel, Healthkart, Paper boat and plum, among others.
