Dale Vaz, a former CTO of Swiggy, has received early funding from Accel and Elevation Capital for his new fintech company, Aaritya Tech.

“I had the good fortune of working with Accel and Elevation Capital during my time at Swiggy, and I am excited to continue this partnership with Aaritya Tech,” Vaz said on Twitter.
In order to streamline the VC-led portion of the seed funding round, Vaz also disclosed that the startup’s angel investment distribution would be finalized soon. The Aaritya Tech team now consists of hand-selected industry leaders, and they are actively recruiting for new positions, particularly in growth, marketing, and engineering.

After Vaz left his position as CTO at Swiggy in April, the foodtech business announced that Madhusudan Rao will succeed him. In February 2020, Vaz, a Massachusetts Amherst alum, was given a promotion to CTO at Swiggy. He became the head of engineering and data science for the unicorn foodtech company in 2018.
