Flipkart has appointed Ramesh Gururaja as its SVP of consumer products.
Ramesh Gururaja will only assume a portion of the responsibilities that were previously managed by Anand Lakshminarayan and Bharath Ram, and the e-commerce company intends to recruit additional personnel in the future.
Jeyandran Venugopal, the chief product and technology officer at Flipkart, will be Gururaja's supervisor.
Gururaja served as the Chief Product Officer and Head of Shared Consumer Platform for Tokopedia for nearly five years, as indicated by his LinkedIn profile. Gururaja also spent a significant portion of his tenure at Microsoft and Amazon before being appointed to his current position at Flipkart, which became effective this week.

The function of Nandita Sinha, the CEO of Myntra, was expanded to encompass the leadership of Flipkart fashion last week. Despite the fact that they share a common leader, Flipkart Fashion and Myntra will continue to operate as distinct divisions under Sinha and will maintain their original structure.
Sinha, a senior director at Flipkart since January 2016, was previously employed as an executive at fast-moving consumer goods companies such as Britannia and Unilever. She transitioned within the Flipkart Group and joined Myntra as its CEO in January 2022, following numerous promotions.
