[Funding alert] EyeMyEye raises $5 mn in funding led by LC Neuva AIF

EyeMyEye, a full-stack eyewear platform has raised $5 million (Rs 39.35 crore) in funding round from LC Nueva AIF, Nueva Capital, and among others.

According to its regulatory filing with the Registrar of Companies Show (ROC), the board of EyeMyEye has passed a special resolution to allot 27,95,736 ccps at the issue price of Rs 140.75 per share to raise the above amount.

The round led by LC Nueva AIF saw an investment of Rs 18.65 crore while Lets Ventures and Rajesh Bothra (Kobian Pte Ltd) invested Rs 2.75 crore and Rs 10 crore, respectively.

LC Nueva AIF is an India-focused fund that raised Rs 300 crore ($40 million) in its first fund in April this year.

The Gurugram-based EyeMyEye was founded in 2021 by Ganesh Iyer and Sudha Kalyan, it is an online eyewear retailer platform that has a range of eyeglasses in different categories on its platform.

The startup claims to have one million customers on its platform.

In the eyewear space, EyeMyEye competes with other companies like Lenskart, Himalaya Opticals, MedPlus Lens, Cool Winks, Lens2Home, and others.

In November 2021, EyeMyEye had raised Rs 20.5 crore in its pre-Series A funding round from angel investors and high net-worth individuals (HNIs).
