The biotech and healthcare startup Vgenomics secured an undisclosed sum in a seed round headed by O2 Angel Network and Mumbai Angels.
Renowned angel investors like Sabine Kapasi and Rohit Chanana actively participated in the round as well.

The funding will be used by the company to develop medical solutions and grow its current clientele of gynaecologists, clinical geneticists, neonatologists, and paediatricians, as reported by bw disrupt.
Nandini Mansinghka, CEO of Mumbai Angels shared her thoughts. “Vgenomics’ groundbreaking approach to harnessing next-generation, AI -powered sequencing technologies to address rare diseases is commendable. We believe this investment not only validates their innovative strategy but also propels the journey towards impacting the lives of millions of children affected by rare diseases worldwide.”

Their team comprises scientists, bioinformaticians, molecular biologists, and doctors from the USA and India. They have published more than 150 US patents, 200 academic articles, and over 30 years of combined expertise. Additionally, they offer customised solutions for clinical research, bioinformatics data processing, and genomic sequencing (WGS, WGS, RNA-seq, metagenome, etc.).
